A post made by NitrousOxide that I couldn't agree more with. It seems everyone in the Microsoft-Bungie-Gearbox ring seems to be playing the blame game as to why the HEK isn't out. I suspected this since the beginning of this year with all the 'wait for HEK' hype going around. I didn't expect it to come out then, and I don't expect it to come out now. I think the HEK most likely is in a state of limbo, partially worked on, but most likely thrown on the back burner, soon to be forgotten. Microsoft may be hoping to tide us over with 'screenshots' and such until Halo 2 is released so we will forget halo pc editing.

This brings me to another point. I will probably stop modding after the release of my sonic mod for xbox and pc. You guys were great but I think it is simply time for me to move on. Sorry about the lack of screenshots, but I have been really busy lately.

i dled a irc chat copy from files.halomods miscelanious section and it was with randy pitch..whatever and he said it would eb released mid april....

its comin out in too weeks Randy Pitchford HIMSELF said so on IRC

This is why I'm leaving. This and a combination of problems here...I will probably never retrun to Halo modding.

Well, it's now April Fools. (Where I live anyway.)
So that gives them about 2 weeks, and HEK is now a joke...

and we have how much confidence that that is true? seriously, how many times have you heard the phrase "2 weeks" be more like 5 months? no names named.
