Okay, if your like me you have probably gotten tired of there only being one color for the blocks that you use in spark edit... it would be really cool if someone could change another peice of scenery to a block with a diff bitmap, this would allow us to be more creative and build with two materials in our mods so all structures wouldn't have to be one plain color, I have tryed all the things I can think of to get this to work. Maybe someone here can get it to work :? , it may sound easy but it isn't lol. I would like diff shaped blocks in halo to but thats to much to ask lol, so for now can you guys see if you can get this to work?

Thank for your time reading this,

Quite easy. Duplicate and rename the scenery, etc. And then make new bitmaps for it, and give them new offsets, etc. You could easily do it yourself if you knew a fair sum about map rebuilding.

someone is doing this already... to do it, you would have to batch extract a map, dup the plate (using Deadly's tut, Im not gona find it now), rebuild, and use EoF (then save) to create a new bitmap you can edit.

It isn't that long. If you have a fast enough computer, and some common sense (Something that comes rare with the flood of n00bs around here.. *sigh*), then it should only take 15-20 minutes... and once you get the hang of it, you won't even need it. After that, I learned basically everything I need to know right now about XML files in Halo, and map rebuilding, etc. It's sort of helpful in more than 1 way...

its useful for a lifetime! seriously, it is a very valueable skill... when we get 3.5, it will become like 4 times as useful...
