A couple modding questions.

1- how can i get a useable energy sword?
2- how can i change an item's name? ( so instead of saying "picked up 20 bullets for the pistol" it says "picked up 20 bullets for the sweet gun' o death")

You want to do this for PC or CE?

You could PMI it from CE to PC (look up a tut for that) or you could just exchange weapons in HMT.

Theres a sword complete with elite FP arms in Knaves old elite modkit here....

For editing the names of items, open your map with a hex editor. run a search for the item name in the right hand panel. edit the letters into what you want.

NOTE: You can only use the same number of letters. If you use less, you MUST replace the letter you take out with a space. Dont try and add extra letters, you will screw up the map.....

EDIT* I think either (A27)Matt or Oscuro has an updated sword tutorial over at HPC, but you will need to ask them.

Go to the www.halopc.net site and Knaves kit is in the general PC tutorials section.

For a Hex editor, I use XVI32 (google it) Its free.
