Entirely New Maps?

Hi,
Kinda new to modding Halo and I'm a little down because of what I see.
First off $MS$/Bungie made this game waaaaay too hard to mod. I mean come on, the games been out how long and we are still stuck with the same old maps... save a few SP/MP conversions.
I want to be able to import entirely new maps created in a 3D app. I want to play in a huge bathroom or kitchen like I used to in UT2k3.
Will this be possible in the near future? Or will Halo 2 be upon us before then?
Sorry for the noobie rant.

Well you can make maps but they wont be able to be imported until the HEK comes out.
So you would be better off just making a map which you would want to put in then whenever the HEK comes out you will eb able to import it into the game.

Which, actually, we don't knwo the limitations to. Considering who all collaborated for this game, I'm sure it won't be like UT2k3/UT2k4 at all. Prolly like a super imroved SE3 I bet...

Actually, it's very easy to mod based on the way .maps are set up into tags.

meh, hmt isn't everything... you forget HHT, and Sparkedit, and Hex Workshop, and photoshop/PSP, and...
the point is that no one tool should be valued over another

My point exactly, I can't do what I want.
