How do I transfer Halo files?

I once borrowed the game from a friend, and got really far in the game, but now I am buying it and I am wondering if there is a way to transfer all of my profiles and save files to the new disk. I only have my friends one installed now, because I wanted to save the data. The new one isn't loaded yet. Please reply quickly... My little brother is getting very impatient.

the files get saved to the comp, not the disc...

If you are using your friends on your computer and you dont have your friends official disk, then you are breaking copywright laws.

The files are saved to your hard drive in C:\Documents and Settings\<your user name>\My Documents\My Games\Halo so if you install Halo again they should still be there unless when you uninstall the other Halo you choose to delete all your game saves.
