How do I add my own sounds into gameplay? I know how to swap them and all, but how do I get my own sounds in the game?

I tried just importing a .wav as a track but it said that it has to be saved as a valid ADPCM encoded wav file. How do i get an ADPCM encoded wav file?

- Save a Halo sound
- Save your own (wav) sound
- Go to record in the Halo sound
- Go to the properties
- Check to see if it's somehting like 22.050 mono 4 or w/e
- Now go to record on your own sound
- Go to "Convert Now"
- Change the settings to "22.050 khz 16 mono er w/e
- put both sounds in your C:\ so that paths are C:\Blah and C:\again... Blah
- Now take your xbadpcmencoder.exe out of your HaloMapToolsv2 folder and put it in the C drive.
- Go to your start menu and go to "run"
- Type command
- Now when the screen comes up, type cd.. *hit enter* cd..*hit enter*
- Now type C:\xbadpcmencoder.exe C:\*Youreditedsoundhere.wav C:\Theregularhalosoundhere.wav
- then hit enter...

only way i know how, dunno if u can use HMT3

pm if you dont get it

But in the Library MP mod how did they change the sounds to get the nuke, and in the Halo2 mod the sounds are completely different to anything in the game.

but youre going on about the adpcm, so the first thing that pops into our minds is the Xbox ADPCM codec... on PC the sound format used is ogg/vorbis...

That is still a tutorial for getting new xbox sounds, I am fairly sure it won't work on pc.

What do you want? To put in new sounds? Or sounds that they say in regular MP3 format?

Oh right, yeah I know, but I wanted to bump the topic so someone would answer me, this mod is making me put all my other mods on hold so I want to do this as fast as possible.

HMTv2 would also be needed for me!
