Halo and 3DS Max question

Post by Scottyopizza »

I was wondering how to take something I've created from 3d studio max 7 and put it into halo (trial version). There is probably a tutorial on this somewhere, but I don't have a clue where it is.

Thanks for any help!

you can't. the vertices wont match, so you wont be able to import it anywhere... unless you could somehow pmi something that's not already in the game...

Sorry, let me specify.

I'm talking about taking something from 3d studio max and importing it into the game over something. Just getting it in the game somehow. Like, makeing the shotgun shoot out boxes instead of shells.

yes, but to do that, you would have to extract the original something, and extract the model, edit it with milkshape to look like a box (without adding or deleting any vertices or indices), then import it in, and swap the metas

yes its the only way 3dsm will add verts when exporting making it not able to be re injected.
