RailRoad blood gultch

ok...my next biggie is my rail road mod...this unlike the pirate ship is gonna take ALOT longer, mostly cause now febuary break is over...anyway the main idea of this is to turn one type of warthog into a train and make a rail system outta log "plates"...this may sound lame but once i get some pics up you'll see (which isn't gonna be for awhile.)

please modify the log to model and skin im sick of log cabin mods.

like........i think you mentioned plates..yes that would be nice

no i learned my lesson with my previous mod, i'm using "whatshisfaces" log plate download, reg. logs require to much to do in mass-quantity

thanks....i'll do my best to make it as perfect as possible...in the mean time, as always i'd like some input on the mod.
1. would you like the rail system to be like a rollar coaster and be both in the air and using the ground or just in air or just on ground?
2. what sorta goodness are you hoping to see in this mod besides the main attraction...cause if i'm gonna import anything into the map, its gotta be there before i start working with spark edit

that could be time consuming...depends on how good u are at skinning and modding in general...yeh...it sux that fed break is over... althogh I had no time for modding cus I was in the carribbean....but it sounds like a good idea....I don't think that anyone has come up with that yet...lol...railroad.... :lol:

maybe u could do something like a skyway, 2 sets of logs that u can walk on?

i was thinking more along the lines of a complicated railway system that traveled all over blood gultch to key "not-there-yet" places. including near base....i can skin but i cant do models still....(damn milkshape)

some one did that for gta3, where they made a road that went a couple of miles in the sky, it was cool, but there was no real purpose, so what you should do, is make either the flags up on this road system, or make it a big battle field area

Sounds like a good idea. if you can pull this off, it'll probably be real cool. Maby a few stations allong the way with guns or flags in them. And a nice little sniper spot only accessible by a teleporter...ive been waiting to see one of them for a while.

anyway.... *looks up at dioxide's siggy and grunts* good job.. but will this mod be compatible with a lower video card like mine? and as for what you should add... human weapons... no covenant weapons.. .and keep it on the ground mostly....

question: will players be able to ride in the train? how many will be able to ride? will there be weapons mounted on train? thx...

you'd better beileve it....most of the things you mentioned i planned to have in the mod origginally...but anything i didn't think of, if it works into the plans then you should expect to see it in the mod...my pirate ship mod wasn't very popular when in came out, despite the hubub before hand on it....(it wasn't even compleate...the one i realesed is a beta...planned on making very LARGE modifcations to it once some ppl tryed it out, see what i changed and that shit... then based on their opinions make it better)

i kno what 2 do
u make the hogs back compartment really big and mostly enclosed
and edit the colision model also
and make it so theres no damage from the colison
that wud b awesome

you should make it that the paths are in the air, and that so on one pathway (track) there should be 2 hogs, but 2 hog only gets u so far, to like a boundary, and a station like thing, with turrets/weapons/teleporters/etc then you have to switch to another one at that station, or walk on the track if its not there, and you run the risk of the hog comin and smearing you when you walk on the track...
