Saving a Map? Or whatever

I know if you put a mod in like blood gulch you need to save the map blood gulch or copy it or something in order to not lose it. Can someone show me how??? Thanks
1.go to your halo folder
2. make a folder called backups
3. copy all of your maps from your maps folder into the backup folder
4.when you screw up a map just paste the one in the backup folder into your map folder anc u have a clean map again
