When modding goes bad...

This kinda happened when I was modding around in The Pillar of Autumn, and I accidentally seemed to have upped the frag grenades force and range. What you see here actually showed up on my screen, with me actually being in front of it, actually saying, "What the hell!?!?!?!?!"

After floating around for a few hours, I arrived in Nirvana...I think...It might've been Madonna...

Ah, but it gets better. Later, playing in...some map...Two Betrayals, I think it was, I shot down a banshee. As usual. But it landed on my face, decided it liked by ravishing good looks too much to crush them, and pushed me through the ground instead.

Yes, what you see there is, in fact, snow, lines of cliffs, and a nav point.

Anyone else got great glitches of their modgodness?

Well...um...before you do...

Note the shield bar. See how it's kind of...white? Yeah. I used a trainer. Otherwise, you will, in fact, become a cyborg pancake.

As for my next exploit, I used the same trainer, fell off a bridge in AotCR, skipped a loading point, found everybody gone. And I mean everybody. All the vehicles are there, but no Covvies to drive them. I'm trying to hack a Wraith to be drivable now...

er... everyone who used to mess around with halo w/o modding it knew about that little trinket, you can actually get down without a trainer in co op

I can't do coop in Halo PC, now can I?

I see what you mean though. Yes, it would be easy to do in coop with some good timing of jumps.

The version of Halo I have right now is 1.0, decided not to update after my hd got wiped again. Although I do know of a trainer that works in 1.4, I could send it to anyone that wants it.

Oh, and about the part where the banshee pushed me through the ground...It happened again, in SC. Only I wasn't using a trainer. I went through the ground, found what sounded like a falling death trigger, and died. This can be done in any map that has vehicles, including BG. Try it at home!

I'm not a n00b, but what the **** is a trainer? I've been hearing them all about but what exactly is a trainer?

And you can easily get infinite health with HMT as well, it was like the first thing I ever did :?

Trainers enable you to have infinite health, I believe infinite greandes, infi ammo, etc. Trains you for online play, hence the name Trainers.

lol, why not just use HMT? both for online and offline play

True but lots of people are way to lazy to use hmt so they just dl a trainer so all they have to do is like press a button and tadaa.

i dont really like trainers anyway i like to do it the longer way funner to because you can experiment with somethings

me :D

btw that prog isn't actually a trainer... a trainer is a program (designed for RPG's) that alters a character in some way (hence the name)... if that prog made it so your character had already beaten the game on legendary or something like that it would be a trainer...

Well, now that you mention it, after I lost my HD, I was too lazy to invest the ten minutes it would've taken to beat the game again, sooooo...

Yeah, that's right. I downloaded a savegame.

On a more, um, on-topic note, anyone else have truly amazing (or just plain funky, those are good too) mod problems?

so? I have too :D not that I actively use it, its a pain cause sometimes when I adjust the brightness, the game crashes... stupid god damn crash...
