AI in Multi? hehe that rhymes...

I am trying to have AI in multiplayer, but I think it's screwing with everyone who joins lol, can somone tell me how to fix this?

P.S. I mean that whenever somone joins there is uber big lag and they quit.

Did they have your map? If they didn't then that's why. Also maybe their computer can't handle it. But if they don't have your mod then they cannot play on it.

You cant do AI in Multiplayer for HaloPC unless you make them static in a
vehicle, (usually the covie turret.)

The AI that move around the map dont sync on the netcode, so you get a
lot of warping, invisible enemies, unkillable AI and "killed by the
guardians" sudden unexplained deaths.....

Not much fun.

i thought it was fun when all the tasnks started killing me...
so it will work if they have the map?

Oh so they didn't have it. Yes they NEED your mod to see it and interract correctly inside the map. But I am only STARTING to put ai in a sp/mp conversion in AotCR so I wouldn't really know that much about it...but the people playing in your edited map(in any way, skins, mods, anything) they NEED to have your map to fully play in it, or at all. But it still may not work correctly anyway I'm no expert :P
But it should fix the problem if that is it. (to make sure, send the map by e-mail to your friends so they can try it with you. Then, if you like, you can post it on a website for other people to download it.)

You can put ai in multiplayer, but halo's netcode does not allow them to properly sync. What this means is that whatever the ai are doing on the host's computer is different than every person that joins. The people that join will see ai, but not how the host does. Many times, they will walk up to what is displayed as the ai and try to kill it, but it would never die because it does not exist. Basicly ai in mp is pointless unless you want to fight them alone.

Exception being AI that are static in vehilcles will be ok (as in giving fixed turrets an actv)

But if the host kills the ai, then it might still look alive for everyone else. And then they wind up getting frustrated when they shoot the ai and it doesn't die cause in reality, the turret is empty.

ok what i did it something with the tank, it will shoot me with its canon but not do anything else
