vertices/indices/subsection limit

It really aggravates me. I had my bud make me a fruit set of .obj's that are 100 verts each - apples, for example, to replace frag nades. I got the verts and indices down, but is there a way around the subsections (or whatever)? thanks

you could just use the frag model and make an apple out of that... save u a LOT of trouble...
