HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

Basically what I've done is taken this image:


and increased the color balances twice, as well as "liquifying" the layer, making the actual blood spots bigger, resulting in this.


(when u look back, the original blood looks pretty wimpy, huh?)

in my opinion, there are 3 kinds of mods,

1. Mods that are cool for a second but get annoying or boring after a while,
2. Mods that are really cool but are dysfunctional online or change things drastically,
3. Mods that are just plain cool and effect almost nothing in the actual gameplay.

anyway, I plan on releasing it sometime soon but need someone with photoshop and the dds plugin to help! My plugin is fricked up - I plan on reformatting tonight though(yes, that's what it has come to)

I know you cant give me accurate feedback now, but any comments?

So...you're reformatting your hard drive because a photoshop plugin wont work. DUDE ITS JUST A GAME.

And as for the blood....I'm sure all the anti-game people will love this little topic.

its not that its hard to do, because everyone knows its not, but the n00bs should be impressed!

(and I've tried EVRYTHING in photoshop! reinstall, etc.)

Let me get this straight...this mod makes the blood more red?

It would be better if you made blood spurt out when you shoot a marine or crewman - stupid Bungie forgot to leave out that detail.

yea... I agree with Demonic here. the blood looks good, but I dont think it will affect gameplay that much... unless it really stands out?

and i already did a copy and paste..and applied that bitmap he posted into my game

I do. I have all settings in graphics enabled, highest res, and high on everything, and whenever I shoot anything it hits the deck and no blood spurts out with either a marine or a crewman. Not even Captain Keyes.

And if blood does spurt, it would be awesome to see the blood run when you die, slowly forming a puddle...*fidgets* *fidgets*

I've driven rockets into the marine, a 150 RPS MA5B AR into the crewman and marine, and nothing comes out. Do you mean XBox Halo?

And I mean when the 'rines and crewmen are dead, seeing the light, and/or pushing up daises.

Done that too, nothing happens. Must be my version of Halo is glitchy or something.

from the crewmen, i dont ever think Ive seen them squirt out blood...

man i thought this was a worthwhile topic but unfortuatly its something i could do in a few minutes. all you did was overstaturate the red.
