Pelican Mod not ready....BUT!!!!

ok, I talked to Mono and here's the deal
he has run into some problems with the Final Version and is working on it. Hopefully it will be ready by Monday.
2 things fixed: The animation bug, and the rocket hog displacement, it is now its own model in the map.
ALSO, in the final, there will only be 1 pelican for each team, and the tank will no longer have a "laser" machine gun.
NOW CHECK THIS OUT!!
I HAVE BEEN AUTHORIZED BY MONO TO GIVE OUT THE PRE-RELEASE BETA!! It is 10 megs smaller..and a tighter mod.

oh yeah that right, there will be no secondary fire mode in the final. and
ALSO right now the the Pelican DOES NOT take explosive damage.
grenades, FRG, etc. anything that explodes is a no go.
regualr gunfire is fine. AAANNDD
everyone inside takes damage.

well i see the animation problem...the pelican flap engine doohickeys that turn it dont move when you go strait lol...the beam emitter is ok..but its very covenant style...

That's so you can get on the back of it easier to get to the cockpit. I think the door should be taken off where the seats are to make it easy to get into.

I found an easier way to get to the drivers seat. change the 7th seat in the pelican which is the cargo seat to B-driver and make it a pilot seat and Mc invisible and fires gun. Then I guess you could turn the cockpit into another passenger seat or another pilot seat in case one pilot dies

lol yea sum times its a challenge trying to get in but how come u cant keep the secondary trigger the machine laser beam and make hte frimary a nuke?
oooooor make another pelican with the rocket hogs turret on the front

I'm going to host a server for this preview mod(not the leaked one)
Its CTF, 10 players max, name is Pelican Island(preview version)
and the pass is
pelicans
the mod is up in 5 seconds after u read this.

Sorry for double post
but I can't join! I put deathisland.map in the right directory, put in the right password, I have the 1.04 patch, but I keep getting an exception error when I join! WTF!?

hey man, I would come, but I have to go to Austin (texas, that is) Matbe if the real version is still not out yet by monday then You can make another server like this. If it is out, then see you in the halomods server.

demonic, u have the version from this thread right? and the pass is pelicans with no caps...I have the same version patch as u...hmmm odd keep trying or oh iknow! u need to take of the rebuilt.map from the end of the map file in this mod

heh, i just owned a 7v1 on that server. i had 3 caps, they had zero. AND i had 4 times as many kills as them.
