here is my theory, its prolly wrong , tho
is there a way to make transparent textures?
if so, you could just make the parts that you dont want transparent, sort of like chisling out the parts you dont want to make a new model
sort of vague, but if you think about it it might work
and i am a nubbie so dont flame me for my bad idea
and u no whats funny? getting the library map and then trying to play on a game that the library replaces that frikin hilarious (sp?)

uhhh transparency of an object has to do with the bitmap texture, not the model.

This would work, but, you would have holes in the gun that were see through.

I think what he means is that there would parts where you could see "inside" the model. It wouldn't look right. The current method for model injection seems to be the best.

it was a good idea, im glad to see people are still tryin to figure out new ways to model before hek comes out, but theres not a big point to that, cause when modeling if u do it correctly u can make the holes u need without deleting something, just look at all the battlerifles out there now, and we didnt delet anything.
