Homing

im trying to get any gun say rocket launcher to home in the opfor. I've tried to use the homing data from the needler and put it on the rocket launcher but it didnt work to well can anyone help or give me some info on how to do this...im trying to get the projectile to chase the opfor all over the map...this would be a great help

well it would be funny, when u swap a weapon, the weapon u drop wouldnt just fall to the ground... but fly around the map until it hits someone

Back on topic, just go to projectiles, then rocket, then type a number in the homing box. Easy.

ok i got it ty by the way dont try and do that with the sniper it goes all weird like but rather funny.......we NEED some one to get the plasma sword to fly in the air on its own!!!!

i wonder y a homin sniper bullet goes weird.... maybe it goes too fast?

if u set the homing value too much, it wont go for the target, it will go away from the target. i set the homing of the scorpion shell soo much one time, i fired it at another dude, and it was like he had some kind of force field.

The sniper bullet probably goes nuts because of the contrail, is that it? Or is it an actual issue with the homing?

easy, replace the rocket projectile's model with the model of the sword and remove all the fire/explosion effects, then give it some homing capabilities.

neither, the projectile moves way to fast for homing to do anything. the ocntrail means you will notice it, but the same thing would happen using any of the other bullet guns.

yea i thought it was going too fast cause when i set the inital speed value to 4 it still went weird...it took like 50 shots to kill some one unless you zoomed out and shot like crazy, fireinhole8 would know bout shooting realy crazy

you would also have to tone down final speed est thing to o is just leave it as it is and give a slight homing value (abut half the super plasma bolt) and use it just to correct poor aim.
