i was thinking about secondary fire and i thought about how the plasma pistol has a secondary fire but its a charged bolt thing. so i was thinking if you give the rocket launcher a secondary fire but give it the same properties of the plasma pistol where you need to hold down the fire button. then you can make its secondary fire homing so that you could shoot a normal rocket but when your aiming at like a vehicle you can hold down fire then release it and the rocket will home in on its target just like in halo 2. i was gonna try but i have way too much crap on my harddrive that it wont let me delete.

o yea and are you the one who wanted the mod by knave? because shadowkhas sent it to me ill pm it to you if you want.

and can you send me the mod with the homing rocket mod thing?

well has this ever been done? give the warthog drivers seat a trigger with a sound such as a horn but no projectile so that you can press secondary fire and there will just be a horn

yeah except the warthog horn is tied to the crouch button, and i dont think it has anyhing to do with secondary fire

there is no horn in pc im talkin about adding one and with secondary fire you press the right mouse.

yeah i guess that sounds possible, but ive checked for adding secondary fire to anything can be a biotch if you know what im sayin

kinda its just editing an xml document then rebuilding but the thing i have trouble with is rebuilding

The first thing isn't too hard it just takes some time. You could just duplicate the plasma pistol and call it rocket2 or something and make a copy of the rocket projectile and stick it in there. Edit the weap.xml so that everything references what it should, be sure to replace the charged projectile with the rocket in the weap.xml and then rebuild and fix the things in the weapon tag (you'll probably need to use phenomena's plugin for some of those, leave the big numbers alone) that you couldn't do in xml (leave secondary trigger and age stuff alone). Edit the "charged" rocket projectile to be homing (you might need to use the original projectile plugin, phenomena's doesn't have homing unless he uploaded the fixed one)

thats a good idea dan.

but i can't rebuild maps for some reason it always says something about a dependency that does not exist so i just stopped trying.

Try batch extracting a clean map, it sounds like maybe you have a typo in an xml file.

it still didn't work

i dont really want to try anymore because my recycle bin is filled with files from pmi'ing or duplicating but my computer wont let me delete them it always says "cannot delete file _____ the directory is not empty" and i dont know how to delete them

. and ive been wanting to make a mod with a few things duplicated and some pmi'ing but i dont want to add more files to that recycle bin
