How would you make another weapon in a map that is a copy of one weapon? For example-duplicating the flag, and then changing the properties in HHT and HMT so that it is compleatly different. Thanks.

you can't change it in hht or hmt you have to remodel the weapon in a program like milkshape 3d

I mean duplicating a weapon, without modeling/skinning it. I know you use the map rebuild function in HMT, but I dont know exactly what to change once I extract it.

ohh you mean like replace the flag model with the plasma rifle model? well to do that go to HHT open the map you want to edit then go to the [weap] tag and find the model you want to replace with another model not on the right you will see a window with a list of dependencies click the mod2 at the top of the list now go to the bottom of the windo and theres two dropdown lists click the one on the far right and locate the model you want to be in its place.

No, not replace, but duplicate. I want to have all the current weapons PLUS a new weapon, which is a copy of the flag. I do not want to copy it onto something else. I hope you understand what I mean now, and Im sorry if my previous posts were not clear.

I lol'd at his responses.
Just batch extract the map with only the metadata and the bsp (you have to or it won't work =/), then copy what you want and paste and rename. IE: copy the flag folder in /weapons/ and paste it and rename it to /proximity mine/ (I assume) and then when you rebuild it add /proximity mine/flag.weapon to the box at the bottom.
