Kick and Ban

I know this may be a bit off topic, but then again, if it can be fixed by modding some values, perhaps it isn't. The server administrator set up on HaloPC & HaloCE is prettry cool being able to access some nice server options by hitting the ~ to bring up the console screen is a good feature to have @ your disposal. But let's face it, Halo Demo is where it's @. More ppl log on than HaloPC or HaloCE... combined.
Now I'm thinking, let's try the old -console trick... low and behold, nothing when the ~ button is pressed... hmmmmm...
Perhaps this feature is only available in the update patches? Is it possible to adjust the values in either the HaloDemo.exe or perhaps the update patch with say Reshack?... to get the console to open in the demo?
My attempts, as feeble as they are, only yielded the replacing of the HaloDemo.exe with the patch, and the patch converts the exe to HaloPC (needing to trade the full maps in HaloPC over to the demo or the exe does not read the game).
So my question is this, has anyone figured out how to get the -console option to work in the demo version and if so, could you please help me out. Thanks.
