can someone please give a detailed tutorial on how to make invisible vehicles. i did it once but then blehhhhhh! my halo had exception and died so can someone tell me a detailed way to make a vehicle invisible.

well, here goes! (although i've never actually done an invisible vehicles mod, here it is in theory)

1. BACKUP EVERYTHING IN HALO"S MAPS FOLDER!!! if you do not do this, you're going to be screwed when you try and get an un-modded bloodgulch without re-installing.

2. now, open up HMT 3.5 and go into the [bitm] bitmaps tag and find levels/a10/something/something/cryoglass.
we take it's meta offset and paste it into all of, oh lets say, the warthogs bitmaps (vehicles/warthog/etc.)

3. now, we click the handy little black "save" button and test our map!

4. if this is done correctly, you should be able to try and find the warthog, but without luck! (unless you run into it, or course ) Then, you can drive around in the warthog, but look as if you are floating!

5. download fraps and make a video to show to all of your friends to convince them that you can make master chief be a ghost in halo!

Also, make sure you put the cyroglass material over the warthog turret too.

but dont do the tires.....i want to see 4 tires just floating nowhere....or just do the tires and no body or turret.... .....

Very nice tutorial! I'm thinking this topic should be split, and ur post should be put in the tutorial section.... Moderators?

...Or you could make it into glass, (not bitmaps but actual Hog itself) dunno how you do that though...
