I was thinking the other day and i realized, when you melee with the plasma pistol you punch the enemy, so i was thinking why not make both of your hands punch,someone will need to mess around with the First person animation, but i think someone will pull it off, Do any of you think this is a good idea?

Interesting idea, although not nesicarily a good one, considering you'd be trying to punch your enemies while they're shooting at you. However, it would be prety dificult to do becuase im prety sure you can't edit the animations (or at least not easily).

You can't really. Unless you do it for CE.

If you find a way to improve melee combat skills let me know. Somewhere down the road I'm going to work on implementing some martial arts stuff. Whether it happens for our progress on Halo CE or not I don't know. It will depend on our knowlege of the engine by the time we get that far.

So far, there is no way to change animations in Halo PC. Someone that is very very smart would need to create a plugin for the Animation Trigger tag in HMT that would allow you to somehow export the animations... In whatever file format they are in... and then we'd need to find some kinda program on the web that can edit the animations. It's a huge gold mine in the Halo PC modding world that remains deeply buried.

well, why dont you change the gun model of the Plasma Pistol to be a fist that way in first person mode it will show fists and then all you do is press F and melee?

Oh, and there is a way to change animations, just not to custom animations. Just existing ones, like swapping.

well change the model to boxing gloves and change the antr to assult rifle melee
