well i started modding right as stuff like hmt overtook most hex editing so i never got to really learn how to do it. but now im trying to understand how it all works. ive looked at pretty much all of the tutorials but they still left some questions unanswered. or they were vague.... 1 question is that when i extract a tag, like the ghost vehi tag from hmt, will it have the 2,000b or so that the offset list says it has? and does this data contain the actual information that makes the ghost work? or does it just have a bunch of pointers or w/e. oh yea and when i open up a map in my hex editor, should i immediately flip it all around.. or flip the endians i think it is? i would really like some help on this. just that some tutorials dont really cover all bases.

i am not the avid hex editor, but it's basically the core code of the game and all it's information. changing stuff in there will change how the game works, please don't flame, i do not hex much and it's late where i live
