Adding the "zoom" sound to the AR?

I've given the AR 2 levels of zoom, now I"m wondering if it's possible to give it the "zoom-in zoom-out" sounds?

If it's possible could somebody please tell me how?

very possible, but kinda hard 2 do. 1st u have 2 duplicate the sniper rifle or pistie or somehting that has the zoom that u want, then change almost everything in it using hht to the AR values (ex model, clip, projectile...), with the exception of the zoom function and sounds. obviously. if that doesn't work... try sum xml editing. maybe you can write the zoom sounds to follow the AR too.

Oh goody, sounds like a blast :D

If I did that, duplicating the sniper rifle and putting AR data in it would I need to put the 'new' AR into each map manually?

wouldnt it also be possible to use HMT to make the zoom sound follow the AR without duplicating the sniper?

I just used HHT and added the zoom sounds to some unsused sound "slots" in the AR's dependency list

If you're using Guerilla from the HEK, it's super easy. There is a blank for "zoom in" and "zoom out" sound effects, and you just copy the path of the sound effect from the pistol into the AR's blanks. The only problem is HEK tags don't work with HMT, thus you can only add your modified AR into custom CE maps, and you have to have the scenario file, which means if you don't have any maps of your own, you can only add it into the tutorial map. :(
