Devmode NOT exposed for PC online but CLOSE ENOUGH!

Post by Le_Loup »

This is a little something I wrote on a movies forum note, and i'd just like to state that this is something I thought up on the spot. Probably been done, but hey, test it out, and tell me what you think. And ASIDE from the long process. I think it would WORK. but, it's not Devmode, but.... it's close enough!

Regarding the "no code" for online, that depends the perspective. There might not be a "sv_whateveR" code line that works for it, you'd have to really search through it to find out how the f*ing hell to do it. But In all honesty, I do believe it's easily do able, if you know the "proper" key word to "disable" or de configure something, or enable/disable it. Orrrr, try this, go into say.......... halo map tools......... "export" or whatever the term is, export EVERY reticle and every zoom every H U D part, that you can find, then keep them as a backup, make a copy, and edit each one, to be pretty much BLANK, overall. And re import them after that. I'd suggest Adobe Photo Shop, but that's just a suggestion. You might have to do this for each map individually, but because the map edits the bitmaps.map file and the sounds, etc, I'd say it's automatically done accross them all. So, it's a TON of work, but, hell, it'd be WORTH IT. (especially if you backed up you bitmaps.map before hand).

Now what i've explained here is probably, a long shot, and most likely just a simple thing that will take a long time to do. BUT it's damn well worth "exploring" that area.

And 45-Sion, if you believe I just told your "secret" whatever dude, I probably didn't tell it, because you never told me, and also, i'm certain you have a faster way of "doing it" then taking this looooong way of doing it. So, whatever dude. :-) Enjoy your "secrets", I just figured that i'd have fun posting this here.

This is something that everyone wanted to learn about so much, I've found a way to do it, all though rather long, it's possible. And hey, i'd just like to know, especially since over 20+ people viewed this post, could someone respond on it? Thanks!
