Importing the Library Index Platform into MP

Yomama actually answered a similar question in another post so I tried to use the same technique, but two things occured. First, Sparkedit wouldn't import the tag. It showed up in the box and asked if I wanted to import it, so I clicked OK. Then I duplicaded one of the barricades and tried to swap it out for the Index platform, only to find that it still wasn't in there. So, I opened up HMT and changed the .mod2 of the index platform to .scen, opened up sparkedit again and tried to import the tag but it still didn't work. So, I went back to HMT and just swapped out the flagbase for the index platform, tried to run the game, and got exception data. My feeling is that this has something to do with it actually being a Device in SP, but i've seen it done before. Is there a way around this? Thank you!!

Just to make it clear though, I'm not trying to get the platform to actually work like an elevator lift like in SP. I simply want it to just be there like any other piece of scenery (like a tree or log). Thanx!

You can't do that (to my knowledge). Batch extract the map or whatever and open up a scenery file's xml. Change anything pointing to that scenery's mod2 and collision model meta files to the platform's mod2 and collion model (forgot the tag's abbr.

) Then just put that scenery into Sparkedit. You might want to duplicate the scenery first though. In which case you'll need to change the first filename line to match the dup's.

Use the flag base method here. (.scnr.xml)
This could still make it act like an elevator, but probably won't without the animation graph referenced (which I believe would be impossible using an included scenery tag)

Much appretiated. Question though (and please pardon my ignorance) but what does PMI mean? lol. It sounds like an easy process though. Thank you!!!
