Model Injection, Exporting, And Editing Tutorial

So You Want To Import Your Own Models? You Want To Make Exploding Babies and Christmas Trees For That Funny Christmas Mod You Got Going On? Well, I Spent All Night Trying To Fiqure This Out And Finally Got It. So Here It Is.

1. You Need Several Programs.
2. Halo Map Tools - HaloMods Downloads Section
3. Gmax - Discreet.com
4. Milkshake 3D - swissquake.ch
5. A Plugin For Gmax ( OBJ Importer )- gmaxsupport.com
6. And A Plugin For Gmax ( .md3 exporter ) - dsmith.gmaxsupport.com
7. If You Want Exact Links Then Look At Bottom Of This Document.
8. Now That We Have All This, Then Put MD3 Exporter Into Gmax Plugins Folder.
9. And Put OBJ Importer Into gmax\scripts\startup
10. Now Open Halo Map Tools And Select Your Model From PC Models.
11. Save Your Model And Then Open Gmax.
12. When Opened Go Under The Hammer.
13. Now Go Under Max Script.
14. Under Utilities Select The Plugin And Import Your OBJ.
15. You'll Have To Zoom In A Lot To View The Model.
16. Edit And Make Sure You Have Less Or Same Indicies.
17. Export As MD3 Using Plugin. Open It In Milkshake.
18. Save As OBJ.
19. Import In Halo Map Tools Overwriting Your Old Model.
20. Save And Have Lots Of Fun.

i did all of this but it never works when i try to import it back into halo,

do u think you could send me gmax some how cause when i try to install it the things gives me an "unexpected termination" and then a I/O error

what in the hell are indicies? and i can never sucessfully import a model. even the plasma rifle with 10000 indicies.

i think indicies are like points on the object that tell the prog whre to place the bitmaps but im not sure look here http://www.gmaxsupport.com

omfg this is sooo anoyying!!! someone please tell me how to fix this!!!!!!! ive seen it happen to other guys also and they never figured out what was wrong!!!!!!!!!! please help!!!! omg i have everything that you told me to do, and when i try to open gmax this pops up!!!! please, please, please, please help!!!!!! i would praise someone if they would tell me how to do this, then i could make my own models and have fun!!!!!!!!

ok i figure out the problem, its just in hmt3 when i try to export the model it works but when i try to import it in gmax it wont let me.

whats going on

you need to import as wavefront obj

you can extract them t wherever you want, your going to be injecting them again...

why do you need gmax? MS3D can handle .obj files......

i dont ge this cmd -H thing. i did wat u said i went to run and typed it now i have a black box, wat do i do here?
