im working on a mod that will add a special new machine gun to be used on the modded map. the map resembles OMAHA BEACH on D-DAY, June 6,1944. there are 2 sides to the map, one red base, one blue base. the blue base will have 5 special higgens boats use to move accross the water carrying troops. the water, if trying to walk through the water, unless the boats have landed at the red side, you will be killed instantly. red people cannot go onto the beach or at the opponnents side. the game is an assault game. the blue team must take the flag accross the water, through the barbed wire, into the red bunkers, and onto the reds flag area. red cannot take their own flag to the blue base. red scores by making sure the blue doesnt take their flag into their base. that counts as a score if the flag resets itself.the beach will have 2 bunkers, each having 2 machine gun positions in it to fire at the blue team when they land. the boats will have a ramp on it that opens/closes when 'E' is pressed. when open, players can enter it by pressing 'E'. when the ramp door opens, all the people inside it will automatically climb out. to break the barbed wire, all you must do is , if you can get to it, press 'E' and the wire will break in that area. you must walk a few flights of stairs to get to the top of the bluff that the bunkers reside on. when you do, the flag will be right there outside of the left bunker. the beach is fulled with obstacles to hide behind. when hidded behind them, you are protected from bullet fire only. rod guns, rocket launchers, or grenades can still hurt you. this map will be great because it is a total conversion of the playing style of the multiplayer reels on halo CE. ohh yeah, it ca only be used on HALOCE.

Not to ruin your eccentric enthusiam, but if you can't even install Halo CE maps then I doubt you could make one.

im not making it, im designing it. my freind is the technicall advisor for this small computer graphics company. were making this in our spare time. so far, we have the bunkers and the beach done. i dont know how to install mods, or playthe maps, because he always does them on the computer at our dorm. thats why. i never bothered to ask. well, i better stop now before i start to ramble on about stuff and junk.

You said that YOU were making the mod.Not your friend in your original post.

if you can do it, that would own. i miss the maps from TeamFortress like Dustbowl, it would be cool to have something like that in halo.

yeah, i think we should continue with it. i mean, just in the past 24 hours, weve almost completed it. ohh, and one more thing: youll have to use the higgens boats to get accross the english channel. you cant walk. if any of you have any more ideas for this, just IM me, post a reply, or send me an email!

Buy Battlefield 1942 and be content with that. Then you can shell the beach from the safety of your destroyer

okay.... if i buy battlefield 1942, will i be able to storm the beach as a soldire, or just shell it?
