HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

I used to mess around with Halo modding... then I kinda stopped. Now Halo CE and the HEK have came out... and after playing on a few maps today I tought DAMN modding has gotten MUCH easier... it would have been almost impossibal to do this shit before the HEK.

So I played with a few maps... but has anyone noticed that the map may look real cool but it just doesn't provide a good game? I mean... I don't remember the map name but it was like just a city with streets and crap, for Halo CE. It was really cool looking, but was lacking a good feel of play, and was WAY TO FREAKING HUGE! Then I looked at things like modded BG maps... and they just kinda looked ugly and were odd to play....

So what are you guys really looking for? I don't think I could create an entire map from scratch... so I would have to mod on someone elses map, or a stock map from Halo.... ideas?

Also say you wanted to use someone else's mod in your map... would you just have to ask premission from the author and if they grant it give them lots of credit for it? I think someone useing that Paintball mod would work very nice.
