I think you should name bob after mee, or just codename. I mean, I'm smart... just look at all my gleaming, silvery posts!!! j/k, just had to say that... anyway, I'll see if I can do somethin for ya, perhaps Ice's grenading bots :P

Wow, that was fast... Yeah I need help. I included hunter.actr.meta and hunter major.actv.meta in additional files, then rebuilt the map, but they weren't there. Will Bob still behave normally, like a SP Hunter, without these? I don't think so, but...well...

And how do I make him spawn? Well, respawn. (So he comes back after you kill him.) I think it has something to do with vehicles... and can I make each kill on Bob count to your score? So it say Kills-10 Deaths-3
instead of Kills-0 Deaths-3. That sucks hard. It makes you look (Heaven forbid) noobish.

Also how do you make it say something like:
"Hunter was owned by Bob"
(I think that has too many letters, in which case i'll leave it at "killed".)

But anyway I'll go put up a separate topic for Bob. He's important, too important to share a topic.

So, anyone up to doing those Halo 2 models? I may have stopped working, but that doesn't mean I don't want those models done. In fact, I'm just waiting for them currently.

SO HURRY UP PLEASE!

Oh and just thought I'd add that Bob is dark red and also had gold bits on him. His shield is gold and his FRG is cobalt. So your SP Hunters will all be Bob clones, or at least until Some Random Guy releases that plugin, so you don't need to change the bitmaps... if he releases it...
Also I'm including an awesome sniper rifle sound, from GlassJaw's Siberia Gulch. (I hope to God he doesn't mind or at least won't chuck a tantrum like DrLime.) Although you should download his mod anyway. It kicks ass.

Well, lookie in the readme of Nitro's Halo 2 mod. Amazing, isn't it? As for more accurate models, lets see them. Instead of just taking a screenshot of the existing Halo 2 mod. Seems a bit logical, eh?

Actually I have...B40_A...but there was a massive hole in the collision and I fell through the ground... and the models are shit. Oh well it's a start.

depends on if you know what you're doing. I made a conversion in a grand total of one hour, spawn points moved to good locations and all. the trick is to:

1. know how to do the sp>mp tut and not get conf00zed

2. pick a map that has all of the objects nearby

3. move all of the objects in big groups, and work from there

4. be sure to import everything you want from the start

Responding to DrLime, I never said I had those models ready. Someone volunteered to do them for me (DAMN YOU MILKSHAPE TRIAL VERSION!) but I haven't heard from him since. I've forgotten, but doesn't MilkShape have some feature to add/delete vertices until there are a certain number left? I remember Gest said he knew someone in M$, and he got these cool pics off them, so maybe his friend could, ahem, *assist* me in my modding by giving me some weapons stats, models, skins and sounds? Hmmm....just a thought. Anyway, if you read this Gest, could you ask for me?

As for my conversion, I have no idea what is wrong with it...

More pics later. Well, seeeing as my MilkShape is out, I'll have to force my parents to register it for me seeing as I'm a science genius :wink:
(94% and 100% in my last 2 tests).

Anyway using the sky plugin I created fog. I tinkered with a few skins but for some reason I can't re-inject weapon textures, and I saved them as the same type they were before (DXT1)...so the skins aren't done yet. Also had some reticle problems, I'll detail later. Anyone willing to help in the coolest and most accurate Halo 2 mod yet can PM me or post here.

Err...take another look at the SMG. That clear box on the left side is the magazine. Count the bullets...I haven't yet but there can't be any more than 25....

Ha ha. I suspect that the BR is the same, i.e. the "x40" indicates clip capacity. Also I tweaked the Spook weaponry and physics, Spook now weighs 1789 as opposed to Ghost's 2000 units of weight. ROF is marginally slower and weapon damage is marginally higher. Spook is now slightly faster, and with a higher hover strength. And in response to Vegito: Is there then any way I can make the hood close down when someone gets in?
