3.5 is the latest. Just open up b30.map in HMT, expand bipeds, click on elite, click swap, double click engineer on the thing that popped up. And you're done.

ok, tried that. all that happened is all the elites became invisible, invincible, and couldn't harm me. i assume that it worked, but why can't i see 'em?

ok, wieard thing. was playing around with hmt, and set all enimies (actually just the modded elites) to human (but they were all friendly) same thing, no elites. this angers me to no end, so i kill all the <friendly> covies on the beach. the marines attack me too, so i kill them too. then, sudently, an engineer appeared. but only after i killed everyone on the beach, anyone know why? and anyone know if i can just set one rce to be on the human's side, like the hunters or something

You can. I believe it's in either (or both) the biped or the actor/actor variant. I know that hardly narrows it down. I think 3.5 already can do that, but I'm not sure.

Must you swap out another biped to make it work?

There are so many unused things in that level, the lifepod, the ghosts... the banshees... is there anyway to swap the engineer with one of these useless things?

You shouldn't have to swap it out, actually. Duplicate a biped in Sparkedit then swap that for the engineer (still in sparkedit). That's all you should have to do.

If you swap a Biped with the Engineer they appear under ground.
Throw a grenade at the ground, near an Engineer and they pop out of the ground.

I'm in Sparkedit, and the only bipeds I can find are the dead marines, and they can't be duplicated. Where in the level are the can I find swappable bipeds?

And at least for my sparkedit, the Engineer doesn't even appear as an option to be swapped with anything, although it is loaded up with the level.....

As for the ground problem, has anyone tried elevating the Engineers into the air a little bit? Maybe if they are seated a little bit above the air they won't have this creepy running through the ground effect.

the engineer thing is in the models tag. if u dont see that then get the new se version, i think 3.01

lol. Yeah, we kinda already know that. I'm not sure how to do this. I would've thought for sure that would've worked. Hmmmm. I'll look around. Why doesn't Tyrant tell us how he did it.

You can't duplicate bipeds in sparkedit. probably has something to do with scripting.
