you must have the .net framework installed to run HMT. Once you get it running, opening maps is as easy as opening any other file.

when i went to the microsoft website and dled the .net framework and started HMT it still sayed the same error....

Hello, sorry if this has been discussed before but i cant find it anywhere,
when i open sparkedit i get a message:
nVidia OpenGL driver
Driver component sizes mis-match. Retry to keep going. Cancel to exit
ive tried searching google but cant seem to find anything, i would really appreciate anyones help thanks!

files.halomods.com

Go dl a mod.

Then open Halo folder.And place the new moddedmap in there.Make a backup of original.

If what you dl isnt a .map file,then its a .ppf
You need a program called
Helpful Halo Hacker Tools
You will find that in the utilites section of files.halomods.com

It should explain what to do.If your still lost view this tut.

Question: How do I add in a tag that is neither a vehicle nor scenery?

Same way. Bipeds, weapons, weapon collections, and a few others will require you to change the model or PMI one in, but most won't.

But what is that 'same way'?

For example, in a single player map, I want to be able to do the following...

Rebuild a map with something that was not in the original game
In a part that say, has two ghosts next to eachother, I want to be able to duplicate one of the ghosts and say, change the duplicated ghost to a rocket hog (for example).

My question is, can I do this? Or do all three either have to be ghosts or rocket hogs?

And how do you import new tags into sparkedit? It only supports scenery and vehicles, and I've worked at trying to import other stuff in, but I never can succeed. Is there a step by step guide somewhere that tells me what to do?

hold on... u talkin about CE or regular Halo PC?
for regular u can follow tuts that u can find by using the search... or google.
for CE... well, i got out of modding when CE came out.

Answer: To shoot MC's, all you have to do is go to Bipeds> Cyborg (or MP_Cyborg) then copy the meta in the little bar. then go to projectiles, and pick a any. In the same little bar, paste in the value you copied above, and click 'save'... voila! you can shoot MC's!

I want to make it so that instead of throwing a frag grenade, I throw an Assault Rifle. Would I swap the [Weapon] meta of the AR, or the [Model] meta?

Open HHT and swap the model of the grende with ar,

Or open the AR in hmt and go to tags,and change them to those of projectiles.Then swap the grenade projectile for the AR

35. Question: How do I make the Marines drop 8 grenades?
Answer: All you need to do is get a plugin for HMT and then make it from 4 to eight. Check here.


Um, is it just me, or did the link for question 35 disapear? Can someone help me with this!

And how to I copy a meta tag in HHT, because I was trying to do it for either question 31,32,33, or 34, not sure, but I can't fricken copy shit with HHT. Even though i'm "supposed" to be able to, where the heck do I do it?
