Since it works with vista, i'm hoping it'll work with XP and previous versions with .net framework installed?

We really need a better program to replace SE....

I hope they take care of this in Prom

Otherwise I'm probably not getting prom.

I think prometheus will be cover everything. dependancy swapping, scenario editing (sparkedit like), tag edits like hmt, etc etc.

Also, I have to ask, if prometheus does have a feature similar to hmt, will it have phenom's plugin pack build into it? or will they make their own plugins?

Well, It would be best if they at least based their plugins on his.

1. Prometheus doesnt use plugins, so everything is hard coded. They will probably develop their own info as phenomena's plugins were not complete.

2. Prometheus is not a map editor, it is a map creator, if i had to guess i would say it worked on tags and not maps.

Then how would it work with PC? Would you have to use CE Tags or Batch Extract a map and use those?

From the screenies i've seen, it looks like hmt, sparkedit, hht + a few things of their own put together with plastic surgery and makeup.

It is stated as a map creator. If you've ever worked with guerilla it looks very similar (tag editor portion). You can decompile all of the PC maps into useable tags, import tags you want from guerilla, make your map and compile it as PC or CE. (You can do basically the same thing for H2 I assume.) So it's not modding, it's content creation. But if you really wanted to play BG with some minor edits, you could basically do the same thing. It's just that the final creation will be rebuilt (although it's probably safe to assume you won't have to bother with the hassle of HMT style rebuilding).

It's supposed to have all kinds of useful tutorials and context menu documentation. Bit easier to work with than the HEK considering it's basically the in-house toolkit which wasn't designed with user friendliness in mind.
