1. export pistol model[0] to my desktop.(using hmt tools) 
2. import model in 3ds max 6. ( i can import cause of plugin. (ObjtoMax) 
3. when i import it, i get a menu asking me about various variables of the model. one area on the menu allows me to change the vert scale. if i dont turn this up high my model will be ummmm. tiny. so i turn it up to 100. 
4. i edit model. 
5. export model to desktop (using plugin(MaxtoObj) 
6. menu pops up and gives me options.should i set vert scale to 100 again? or make it .001? 
7. i go to hmt tools and import model. i get an error!!!!! ahahahha. 
does this have to do with the vert scaling? do i export model as polygons or triangles? is it my plugin? how have you guys edited, exported, and imported halo weapons.

when i tryed 3ds max i couldn't get it to load the mentalray plugin, so i just gave that up and downloaded milkshape, i suggest getting thaat from the FAQ thread in here
