different .NET?

is there a different .net like a version, because i think its the .net thats messin up my HMT and HHT. im using the .net 2.0 is there a differnt .net like 3.5 or something?

HMT 3.5 has two versions i think, i think one of them doesn't need this .NET jaunt.

ok i just found out that it can't be the .net it still wont work even with 3.5 so what is going on?
