Need Help With Skins?

Okay...
I've been having trouble skinning BG's base's... Everytime I try it turns out horrible.. not sure what I am doing wrong. Also the cliffs are bad. I'm including some pics... thanks to anyone that can help

you might be editing the wrong bitmap.

look for one of the "generic metal" bitmaps.

I edited it generic metal... and it says it is the skin i wanted in HMT

Is there anything else that needs to be changed?

what i want to see is a mod where the metal textures are replaced with metal texture from Mac OS X.

What I want to see is Eschaton with Skin editing built in that supports Dxt 3 and dxt 4 (or is it 2 and 3? haha)
