((Im new to trying some modding for halo. There is alot of info but for someone new it's a bit confusing with all the acronyms and mods for singleplayer and multiplayer and custom edition halo etc.))
Question:
I play regular Halo on PC, some of the games (most) are modded with teleports, turrets, grenade and weapon traits for no reload or no gravity or increased destruction; What do I need to do that sort of modding for normal halo multiplayer games?

This goes over how to do some of the simpler stuff using HMT v3.5. It's a meta editor program that requires the .net frameworks. (Some people have issue with newer versions so 1.1 is a good idea, also don't download SDK, download the actual framework.) That covers most of the stuff you want. HMT is available here. As for moving locations of items, that involves using SparkEdit. SparkEdit is generally considered easy to use but here's the manual if you need it.
Edit: anything involving rebuilding and skinning won't be visible to people who haven't downloaded your mods. Remember to make back-ups of your map files since your changing the data.
