Problem Starting Halo

Hey I was just wondering if you could help me with a problem I have. Whenever I start Halo PC, right before the menu everything closes and this error message comes up that says "Gathering Exception Data." I have uninstalled and than installed many times aswell as just reinstalling it. Nothing seems to work.

well, maybe it's that your cd has been damaged, so it can't get some of the vital files for halo to run I.E., sounds, bitmaps, maybe something else.

No way, it can't be the disk. My disk is pretty much brand new. No cratches or cracks....

ok, well, if it's smudged or anything, then try to clean it.(make sure you know how to clean it, or else it might be damaged)
