So yeah. The topic says it. Where do i get started making mods? HELP!

Grab a coupld of tools such as Halo Hacking Tools, or Halo map tools from the files section or Xbox-scene.com, and then you can open and manipulate .map files.
Or, you can download Halo CE and follow the tutorials for building levels and stuff depening on what kind of mods you want to make.

Start easy
I'm a new modder myself. I would start with something easier like spark edit then go the hex and HMT. I still haven't figured HMT out yet.

Re: I'm a noob.
No you're not, you're just new. There's a difference. Someone who's new is just that someone who hasn't been doing stuff long enough to have any experience or knowledge as to what they're doing. A noob is someone who's had the time to do these things, but chose not to because he's lazy or gives up on difficult things too easily.El Spunko wrote:I'm a noob.
As far as what you should do, you should download Halo Map Tools, Halo Hacker tools, Sparkedit, and PPF-o-Matic, toy around a bit with stuff, get comfortable with the programs, and gradually work your way up to more complicated stuff. (PPF-o-Matic is so you can PPF your mod so that you can release it in the files forum without pissing off any moderators
