Make it one elite instead lolz. Who would win in a CQC situation?

I don't recall many situations when a Spartan beat an Elite in unarmed combat, let alone at a weaponry disadvantage. I believe there is one instance in the novels of a Spartan fighting a single Elite in unarmed combat, and said Spartan barely won. Elites, no contest whatsoever.

oh yea, at the end of "the Fall of reach" 117 had this (oh yea, spoiler warning) zero gravity space fight with an elite and, yes, just barely won.

Plus any 3 guys with fucking energy swords could beat an unarmed MC, this is a no-brainer

Energy swords don't look like lightsabers to me. I don't think they cut through solid objects or anything like that, so they're not some way powerful thing. Correct me if I'm wrong on that, but yaknow.

They're both plasma I believe, so Lightsaber = Energy Sword.

I've seen Star Wars, and I've played Halo. I think they're quite different.

If you could deflect projectiles with the Energy Sword, or chop shit into two... now that would be a kick-ass weapon. Sadly I think it's just sharp and pretty looking.

still, you cant block a sword with your hand, so i doubt you can block these when all yoru wearign is mjolnir mark 5

Are we talking Halo 3 swords or Halo 2 swords?

I think he could just run to the edge of a river and side step as the Elites lunged at him.

For the record, about the Energy Swords, in Another Day at the Beach, the bonus video of the Pelican crash in Mombasa, the Elite's Energy Sword cuts clean through a Battle Rifle, splitting it into two pieces, in one swipe. It cuts through metal like a hot knife through butter.

Also, think about this, how many years have those elites been using these energy swords? They aren't idiots like you seem to think. Even one gold elite with an energy sword could kill a spartan, even if the spartan had an energy sword too.

Remember that level in Halo 2 when you have to cut the cables that support the giant mining station? Those cables were at least 2 feet in diameter (made of whatever exotic matter the Forerunners use), and the Energy Sword went through it without a problem.

I'm sure the only reason that Energy Swords aren't shown chopping people to bits is because of the graphical limitations of Halo, and the fact that Halo has never been a very gory game. I'm sure that Energy Swords are comparable to Lightsabers in most ways.

Gears of War /= Halo /= Star Wars.

What if The arbiter vs the chief and they were both unarmed

It would be a toss up. Read the books, the Spartan barely beat an Elite in unarmed combat. Arbiter is arguably more skilled than a normal Elite, it could go either way, and there is no basis for discussing it because there is no definitive answer.
