There are already rumors that Gearbox will be working on Halo 4. But those are rumors... >_>

I personally think Bungie should get away from Halo, before it becomes a really bad franchise. Unless Bungie makes a new Halo game, that completely changes Halo, or brings a whole new story, it may be good.

Unfortunately, today's society is still concerned about those who glorify the killing of babies, alien baby or not.

It'll be over.

It'll have its share of spin offs, other than that I believe the series is dead.

I'm probably going to be beaten up by Tural for writing this, but Bungie did leave the end of Halo 3 very open to speculation. In other words, is it possible that they haven't made up their minds about what to do next? (Or at least at the time of the production of Halo 3)

i agree, from the ending there are 2 main assumptions for the next game. A. that was Onyx so you meet up with or help release Dr. Hasley, Kelly, etc that were trapped. "if you don't get what i am talking about read the books, there really really good" or B. that is Marathon and they try somehow to tie the Master Chief into the solider from Marathon. Honestly i hope its Onyx, because if it is the planet from Marathon they have to make up a dam good story line to cover that game the games are similar but take place in 2 very different yet close times.

yea, because, you know, 500 years is a very close timeframe >_>
i mean, i guess you could say that the portal going to the ark is a time warp also therefore bringing master-chief to the future. but then that can be disproved by three words: Mark 4 Armor. mark 4 armor is used the marathon, so unless they pull a downgrade or something then I doubt its gonna be tied with marathon.

as for the books, i got halfway through the third book but then got occupied so now I'm lost and don't want to start all over again

that's what i'm getting at in a sense, to do a marathon remake would require alot of time and effort and for those of us who played marathon it would completely mess it up in my opinion as stated since your armor in marathon is very very low grade. My best assumption is that its Onyx and they are going to tie the books in. Or they could just make a bigger ODST spin off of the series, that i wouldn't mind.

I read some where that microsoft may make a halo 4 when the xbox720(yes their making one it will come out in either 5,6,or 7 years since no one Is buying the 360 so they are stalling.) and the time is right they will make a halo4. But after that they should stop since everything good must come to an end. But if they continue theyll turn the game into another pokemon( it used to be good but not anymore)

now that i think of it, if halowars becomes a great success then i think that they should make the sequal to halo 3 but the continuim of the war on earth.
