is it just me, or did the elites get fatter after halo 1? it's like they gorged on too many chicken wings

Halo 2 the arbiter looked babyish 
Anyway, The elites got larger, more muscular and hunched compared to the lean fear-inducing Elites in Halo CE. I prefer Halo CE's style more, but I love the detail of the H3 elites (still miss them as enemies)

Maybe they have become less fit over time. The Halo Wars elites look like they've been "juicing".

The halo 1 and 2 elites looks more like angry monsters on steroids then the halo 3 ones.

I prefer the feel of killing an Elite to the feel of killing a Brute. Do the elites still attack you if you team kill enough? Granted, if you are even playing with elites. You rarely see them in active combat.

more real...so bungie's idea of making elites more real is having zealous soldiers who will fight for just about anything be lazy and eat too many chicken wings? and how did that lead to grunts looking like horse butts?

well they did the same thing to them expect now grunts look ugly and in halo 1 they were cute as apple pie.(unless the pie is ugly)

We had this same discussion on Halomaps last night xD
I personally like the Halo 3 Elites better. They are bulkier, which from my perspective it makes the Elites look more powerful and battle-ready. Like they SHOULD be a commander of smaller infantry.
I like HaloWars one, also.

An anorectic version of Predator wouldn't have muscles. The Halo 3 Elites aren't fat. They actually have the muscle you speak of.
