i really dont know if this has been seen before but i have just seen it for the first time so i felt i should post and see if im just crazy or still sain.

i just updated my halo pc version to something like 1.6 or 1.06 (the newest one) after reading up on it it seems that if you have version 1.05 or 1.5 the haloupdater.exe file will not update the game for you due to some kind of error. so you have to manually d-load the new updater program and run it. well, i was playing the control room level on normal and at the point where you have to rescue a bunch of downed marines from some shades, ghosts, and a mortar tank i noticed something new. as i was about to blow the shit out of a ghost close to me with a rocket i noticed it was NOT firing at me. apon a close closer look i saw that a marine had gotten in it and was driving it around (and killing people, although not very well -> he ran me over about 3 times...SAFETY HAZZARD!). i had never seen this before...and then a little while later i saw a guy jump into an empty wart hog's gunner seat and start shooting people, as in the enemy...but i just happened to be in his line of fire in the tank and so he killed me to.... so what i'm trying to say is that i have never before seen marines USE vehicles when your not in them, so if i'm not crazy then i think the update i just got has updated the AI for the marines (when it was updating i did also run another program that said it was updating the halo.exe file and some other things too) saddly though i couldn't get the marines to drive me around...but then again i didn't try very hard.

i dont know how far this goes but i want to get a shot of a guy getting into a hog w/o me in it... and then MAYBE try to get them into shades. also, when getting this picts i noticed a marine actually USE a grenade... that was a little supprising, but i dont remember if thats new or that i just dont remember them doing that before. anyway:

really, i never remembered em using nades gettin in shades or gennerally being clever.

I have seen them use Ghosts many times, but I never remember them using the Warthog turret on their own, or EVER using the Shade turret. Could you possibly get a video of that?

they have used the hog's turret (although only recently), i know cause i was the only one in it, then got out, hopped into the tank and was killed by hog fire (i guess i was in the line of fire, AI still needs work)... and not to mention the 10 times i got killed by the damn ghost drivers while trying to get those picts. but i have NEVER seen them use shades before, i only said i wanted to get a pict of it, if they can use ghosts+use hog turrets then a shade isn't a bad thought. but they only seem to get in the vehicles when there is combat, so its hard to actually get them it one. plus, the vehicles have to be close to the marines if you want them to use it.

Yeah. I've seen marines in ghosts but none of that other stuff...

ok, i have confirmed my hypothesis that marines can now get into the hog's gunner seat w/o you in it. as i stated before they only do it in combat situations, so i parked an unmanned hog in the middle of a battle and backed away, and to my supprise, about 10 seconds later, a marine got into the seat. i got a screen shot but i guess you have to take my word that the marine got into the seat after i got out... if anyone can tell me how to take a vid then i can get more proof. but until then you got to take my work, and this screen shot... for how little its worth. i know its a long shot but i want and try to get them into a shade... i will try the truth+recon... (cov. ship) map. that has some shades and combat.

Uhh, all you have to do is get in a hog and have a marine get in. Then get out and hell stay in. Until a vid is released, I dont believe they get in hogs alone.

thats why i need someone to tell me how to make a damn vid so people will KNOW i'm not (entirerly) crazy...
