Dumb question but...

Is it possible to compress a RAR or Zip file? Like put one in another one? I've got a movies I'd like to show but it's three times the limit. (compressed!)

ive tried it before it doesnt work that well, it compresses the zip alright but it makes it just barely about 3-10 kb more compressed
so not really

i used winRAR to compress my vid but it was lame. On best it comprest it by about a mg. thats LAME!

i wouldnt compress it until you've gone into the editing program and somehow messed with the settings so that the exprted final video is a lower resolution...

maybe you dont know how to compress

I compressed 20mb!

Use WinRar to compress it, and then I guess if you want more compressions.. compress it, change filename, compress again, and so on.

Compression is an art that eliminates repitition in files. If a file's hex information is very redundant, than the resulting zip file will have good compression rates... However, if the file's information is all very unique, than compression won't affect it all that much.

A good Compressing program is just one that more carefully looks for repitition in a file.
