HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

Hey all i just got my xbox modded and tried to copy a game to a dvd. after i did i tried to run it on the retail xbe but it would not read the disk so i tried running it on the evox screeen and it was succesful. while i was playing the game i tried to go on Live and it didnt work . so i ejected the disk and went back to the retail menu i deleted what i had just saved and then i put in the real disk. when i tried to go on live then it said it couldnt connect because your software has been modified. I am scared the same thing will happen in halo2 so i was wandering how i could fix this.

the only way to fix it is to get a new xbox and (i think) a new xbl account

although, if u have a friend w/ an xbox that wont go onto live...all u need to do is get his/her EEPROM and swap it w/ yours...but your xbl account will still b there, they dont ban that, just your hd from getting online. now if u have another hd in your box, i wouldnt attempt to go online again. that's what the update from m$ was for when u had to update when u started up halo 2. it looks into ur system (somehow) and sees that you have software(such as evox) on your system as well as extra hd(which is a good indicator that you have a modded box). well, sorry to say, but you are screwed dude unless you find someone that u can "borrow" their EEPROM from... just go to www.xbox-scene.com and you should find some articles on this that might explain a lil more. good luck tho...i would wait until someone finds a way to get online w/o getting banned.
