HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

Ok i got halo 2 pre-paid and i got Xbob finally...so i want to get it online for my free 2 month trial...how do i go about doing that? Heres the problems...I basically only have $100 bucks to spend (around that), and i would like to go wireless if possible (if not i understand). I don't know anything about networking at all...and i work for HP (scarey isn't it?). So can some one help a halo buddy get online and commence with your ass kicking?

ok so im talking to myself...but anyway i decided to buy a huge long ass cable and run it to my room (will buy wireless later but can't afford it til AFTER halo 2 so imma just use the cord till i can afford everything)...

Problems tho

i can't get it to work says DNS not resolved...

I know my IP address
and the comcast (comcast internet) guy says my primary dns is my ip addresss

so i put that as my dns primary and alternate so is that right? and what are the pppoe i dont think i need it but just wondering what it is?

1. You shouldn't need to fill in the DNS settings. Ever. And that Comcast guy was a shithead. A know-nothing.

i got a 50 ft, for $19.99 at best buy, know how to fix the dns probelm then?
