[First i must apologize because this will sound like a rant, and in most casse it is, but this has happen to me much to often to just let it go]

-PROBLEM

OK first the problem is this...i have currently been banned from 7 different servers (permanantly) for as far as i can tell JUST for being "too" good. I'm a good sniper and i went into a server today and it just happen to be set on snipers only (pistols also) with no shields (easy right?), so becuase sniping is my speciality i take them out one by one by one...if they played me longer they would know that i suck with pistol so i can easily be beaten. But no the server admin banned me permanantly without even as much as a notice for why. OK next problem I join a server and say "hello" like i always do...i play for a bit and continuely notice that my ping jumps form an average 67 (cable modem) to 180. Which for halo 180 isn't that bad but for certain spikes so quickly i can't play that well, so i say "im getting some lag spikes weird". The server admin then says "our servers don't have lag...asshole" so of course i was dumb founded as to why the disrespect...so i said "...all servers have lag unless your running an lan game...and why am i an asshole?" he then calls me an asshole again and bans me.

So im just wondering where did all the good gaming go? I mean back in the day (half-life teamfortress classic and counter-strike) i could waltz into a server be greeted and have a fun time and leave with happy thoughts and would like to come back to the server again. I mean what happen to people who WANTED people to join their servers and have a large server following? Everybody now thinks that if the player is better then the admin he must be cheating....everybody is to busy calling out "HAXOR" or "CHEATER" or "HES USING A MOD" that nobody is taking in consideration that HEY maybe he IS a good player? I know this is the downfall of playing on pc's but am i doomed to have this problem on EVERY PC game i come in contact with? If so im sticking to consoles...which worries me ...when halo 2 come out will people say that i am cheating because im a good sniper or because i killed a very good player? Gaming is becoming sader and sader.

-SOLUTION?
I think everybody just needs to chill...seriously...to all you guys hosting an server or is and admin to an server how about completely making sure some guy is cheating first before you ban him? OH and how about a warning or some kind of clue as to make him/her know that he/she is suspect? How about greeting players when they come into your "home"? Or saying "nice shot" and not "LUCKY NOOB". What happen to that? I mean i know its online and there is bound to be some asshole, and maybe he is using a cheat (which is VERY rare), then you may kick him (dont ban until your absolutly sure). Give them a reason why you are going to ban him or kick him also just to make sure he/she isn't cheating. Im only saying this because im running out of low ping good servers to play on...(bloodgulch, ctf with -100 ping).

While im on the subject of "noobs", whats with everybody calling everybody noobs? Most of the time is for some dumb ass reason also...he ran you over with a hog...so he must be a noob right? WRONG get the hell out the way...its not hard to kill someone in a hog/tank/banshee...ghost are pretty tricky tho. Im just saying STOP calling people n00bs because they killed you...get over it its part of the game. As long as they aren't using some kind of hack or exploit (like out of the map) then all is fair right? I mean if bungie didn't want people to be run over by hogs they woudln't have written the script into it. If they didn't want people to use rocket launchers then they wouldn't have put them into the game. Its all part of the game....for example..i hate pistols (they are to accurate from such a far distance and to powerful), but i know its part of the game...so i just deal with it...if you call some one a noob because they used a rocket launcher to kill you and not a pistol or somthing they your exposing the real noob. I mean skill isn't what weapon you use..skill is LIVING (and of course scoring). I would say everybody who uses a weapon is a noob...everybody should melee...(see how silly that sounds?), nobody would want to really just melee attack on sidewinder it would take FOREVER...so don't call out n00b because some one killed you...say good kill, and try harder next time.

i like joining ded servers mainly because they have low lag and people usually dont know the rcon so they cant easily ban i suppose they could by minimising halo then going to the window... but for people who dont use a local ded server and dont know the rcon... they are not gonna be banning you

olny way to be banned or kicked from one of those is to get a tk ban

i think thats why now in h2 you can jump onto vehicles and kick out the occupant... cuz people complained that they suck against moving things. sad...

yeah that would make sense trigger....and the servers i was banned from were ded lol...maybe i have bad luck

This is why I pretty much only play with friends.
And since when is CS any better than this? Half-Life MP itself has gone done the toilet. Almost nobody cheats in TFC because it really wouldn't help that much anyway. It's too fast paced.

oh there are cheats in tfc but they are so noticable people don't really use em, is cs IS NOT BETTER THEN HALO, im just saying that i wasn't banned from those servers as much as in halo. I can't stand the new cs with steam installed, i miss Cs 1.1 to me that was the best one (patch) but eh...they do have better graphics now. But thats why i play halo now...its less jumping then tfc or unreal, not a sim like rainbow six or counter-strike, its like realistic fantasy. I just got my xbob today and got my days off...so im ready for halo2

Yeh, people need to chill out, just because they are better then you shoudl not mean you have to ban them...or vice versa...

i know, ive been banned so many times for that. and othe times just for taking the flag or teh oddball or winning KOTH.... meh...

the problem is n00bs, all good players (kind players) dont play anymore, its all the n00bs now (not saying they suck at Halo but they are the "kids" who are the rude ones, have no respect, etc)

so thats my speculation, I would likely agree with you firetoy, I was playing CTF once, I had my strategy for going in for the flag, got the flag, by myself, which was not easy, I repeat when you've got 8 players defending the base, returned to my base, and of course, no respect for me, they kill me and take the flag... not that I had any problem with it I continued to play on, etc.

Also once I was playing the Danger Canyon?? map on Assault and I grabbed the flag accidently and the team mates seemed really kind and they helped me take the flag into the enemy base, which was nice, I thought, and nothing like the bloodgulch "killing spree" i played later.

yeah....thats happen to me before to, yeah it might be because they are kids and are childish...its a sad world now...sigh

I have never been killed for the flag before... but some noob ass on broken rift fucking banned me for using a banshee...

Also I saw a server named "3 year old pussy" earlier and was pretty disturbed as well... nooone but the host was on though...

these noobs (kids you know) keep tking me on the servers i play expecially my favs, and I'm up to the perma ban on em cus I tked em bakc!! Like this is my strategy for dealing with tkers:

They tk you, you tk them back once, yoyu let them tk you back till thyre banned, while putting up a somewhat pathetic fight. I got baned a couple o times cus of accidental to many tks... any one know the website or way to contact the Studio880, and phoenixgamers server hosts? I dont wana get perma banned from my favorite servers!!

And yes some of the tks were jsyut out of spite... not gonna lie to you...

I ONLY play modeded maps and play NMC CONSTANTLY. And I only play ,my freinds servers or Dedcated servers cus i cant get banned and alo of people play them. arg... my BG is fucked... dunnno what happend to it...

play with friends is me.

I play CE only in private servers with my buddies and then if i want public i make one in HaloPC or join a friends


And with kicking people out of vehicles. Possibly for when someone goes "afk" and jsut sits in the vehicle keeping the rest from using it.
