Halo 2 - My idea on the story

I have an idea that might be on Halo 2. I least expect it, but it could be a fun idea to think of. It has been going on in my head for some time.

Master Chief has landed on Earth, giving hope to mankind. He tries to help the people of Earth against the Covenant, but it should take some time.
As the battle rages, we meet our old robot foe, 343 Guilty Spark, who came down to Earth to tell the reclaimer about a ship: another Covenant ship is heading for Earth. And not just any ship, but it is the Truth and Reconcilliation (the alien ship in Halo 1). A short time later the Covenant detected this ship. The Covenant think that the transmission is broken, but that the ship is almost intact (exept for a hole in the ship) and is ready to help. But there actually is a giant army of Flood in there.
All of mankind are doing everything they can to stop the ship, but the Covenant won't let them.

The Covenant have cleared the area where the ship will land. When the ship arrives, the covenant should be ready to welcome their friends (without much weapons, of course). But when the door (or whatever the exit is) opens the Covenant stand suprised. They actually stood ready to get taken over by the worst foe they've met.

Hmm... I don't think it's possible, though it's a nice story.
In the books they tried to get away with the T&R, but it crashed.
The ship can't be flown (sp?) whatsoever.

Interesting story, but having read the books, MC & Cortona capture the Truth and Reconcilliation, the Covy don't get to earth, although they do find out about Earth, and they did plan a crouse to reach and destroy Earth, The Monitor is does not make an appearence, the Flood is gone don't forget, they were rid of when MC & Cortona destroyed Halo. And the T&R is actually flown throughout the story quite a lot.

an other thought is that the mc only stays on earth for a short time only to find out about another halo structure and he has to go and destroy that one two

we will never know untill the game comes out

hey, what if a halo got around earth and ingame would be the same scenery, but instead of that big gas giant, itll be earth... and i always thought that at the end of credits, u see 343 flying off into space, that he would come back someway or another. but now i dont think so

well, i dont think its likely that a halo ring will surround earth.
VERY unlikely.
but, i have a feeling 343 will come back in Halo2... just for some strange reason

Well halo was never fully destroyd.. it was blown into segments... so the flood couldve still repaired the ship and did what teh thread starter person said... so i beleive that... but what happens when the flood arrive? do the humans and covies band together to beat the flood and then become friendly forever and stuff and let freedom ring... lol like have them be like all friendly and in teh end make human and covie ships flying around earth in a halo shape and if u watch teh credits u get to see bloopers and other funny stuff... lik sarge all drugged up...lmao... but thats how i think it will be...or will it?
