Online HALO PC, rules of engagement

This is a general question for all- I hope this is the right forum for it.

I have been playing online for a few weeks now, and admittadly am not too good. (if that makes me a noob, so be it)

Anyway, I have fun playing online even though I regularly get my butt kicked, but many many times in CTF games I see so much TK'ing that doesn't make sense. I'm not talking about when you spawn in front of a moving Hog or a grenade goes wrong - stuff happens. But I've had teammates shoot me for no reason I can tell. Like walking up and meleeing you on top of your own base. Or shooting you out of a hog seat so they can drive. Or, the worst, shooting someone as they run into your base with the flag, so they can grab it and score. One time I was repeatedly killed by a teammate, so I finally decided to get him back. I killed him once and was immediately banned from that server. (maybe it was his).

So is it just a few immature players, or a general sense of no honor playing, or what?

What do you do in case of TK'ing? Or do you DO the TK'ing? I'd like to understand.

The only people who tk are noobs,and people that want to win at all costs.
ex:Wanted flag
Kill you for it
Ive been tked alot by people,luckily I have a program that lets me ban people from there own server.Hehehehe.So I get rid of them pretty quick.

That sux, banning people from their own servers is just scum. I don't TK, but ages ago (I'm on dialup, last time I played Halo MP was at least 6 months ago) some guy ran me over in a Hog. I was going up the ramp to the top of the base to get the sniper, and the bastard was trying to fit a Hog through a hole half the size. He ran me over, so I was pissed. I spawned near him and so fired a *warning* shot with the plasma pistol, which has to be the weakest weapon in the bloody game, and he basted me in the face with the damned sniper at point-blank range, in fact so close that I was thrown about 5 metres away. Asshole.

When I see someone keeps being annoying, I tk him back.
I saw someone that kept meleeing someone else in the back. When he had another victim, I hit HIM, and he left the game

HEY! I know another reason that will fix many, many problems! Get halo CE the people that play it are extremely honrable, I haven't been tked or swron at or mocked or anything once sincs I got it! I had to tk two people jsut to get at the guy with our flag and they didn't even care! They just said "Nice job man"!

Honestly halo CE is the best way to go, there are like no tkers what so ever! Well as far as I've seen.

not recently however thats coz i havent played public servers for ages

yeh, those people who tk are A. using a really badly coded aimbit, or B. they are a complete n00b and connot see the green triangle....if they are repeatedly tking you, i would leave and join another server...

Ya,its not worth taking the abuse of tking.Tell the server.If they do nothing leave,many will follow,and the server will learn a valuble lesseon on how to keep players in theier server,Hint,banning tk'ers

Well, since aimbots and other source-code-type hacks are impossible in Halo, it's just answer B.

TKers suck, unless ur playing with a friend, and you have freindly competitons when no one else is on the server, then its fun.

The New Mombasa servers are full of tkers, unfortunately.
