How do you test multiplayer maps WITHOUT being online?

I need to know. I have to test a map and whenever I dl the update, it corrupts the files. PLEASE help.
Halo RULES. Period.

( I have the nagging feeling that Halo 2 is going to blow. Is that just me?)

You can't test on LAN?
