New ScnrLib.dll for HMT3
New ScnrLib.dll for HMT3
[Edit]: Works with Items and Player Spawn points now too.
First off, major props to xorange for showing us how to do this by hand.
Alright, here's a new [scnr] Scenario plugin for HMT. Overwrite your old scnrLib.dll with this one:
http://www.angelfire.com/oz/tjc2k4/ScnrLib.dll
This allows you to dupelicate or delete vehicles and scenery from a given level on Halo XBox.
Relatively soon I hope to release a newer version that also allows the same for weapons and equipment. I'll post an update when that happens.
Math people note: For each Scenery object you dupelicate, it requires 72 bytes of garbage to be delete, for every vehicle you dupelicate, it requires 120 bytes of garbage deletion. The garbage area used when dupelicating these things is 380,000 bytes. This allows for 2,000+ vehicles if for some crazy reason you truely wished to do this, or even more Scenery.
Here's a quick walkthrough:
1.) Open up a halo xbox map
2.) Scroll down and expand [scnr] Scenario. NOTE: NOT [scen] Scenery!
3.) Click the level's scenerio you want to play with.
4.) In the list box on the right, select vehicle or scenery depending on what you wish to play with.
5.) Use the Slider bar to select the correct Object.
6.) Click Dupelicate or Delete.
7.) If you dupelicated something, the last (highest number) object will now be a copy of it. NOTE: These objects are dupelicated exactly, this includes the POSITION. This means that if you skip the SparkEdit part below, the new object will be stacked EXACTLY on top of the old one, and you will notice nothing different.
8.) Close the map after you've done all the dupelicating you wanted.
9.) Open the map in SparkEdit.
10.) Locate the object you dupelicated, select it.
11.) Move the object to a new position, notice that when you move it, there is another copy underneath.
12.) Save changes in SparkEdit, and you're ready to go!
Enjoy!

P.S. As of 1:00 PM, December 8th, the rotation knob is not in this plugin, I've lost it somewhere and I'm working on adding it back in.. this shouldn't really be an issue for most of you. I'll edit this post and make another when I fix it. I'll upload a new plugin also. Check back once in a while
